Makatea

My story in Sudan began with the Barcobestia MAKATEA Brigantino-Schooner “Makatea”.

Launched in Limite in 1888 in the Picchiotti shipyards and then subsequently lived with the Felicidad I, an Italian schooner and then with the Felicidad II Egyptian fishing boat in iron transformed several times.

As a pioneer of the Sudanese Red Sea, I decided to present it to you from its birth, continuing with the experience and photographed over the years, by the greatest photographic journalists in the sector, choosing some of their articles.

In these various experiences, "no longer young" divers will relive some of their adventures, while the "younger" ones will have the opportunity to get to know him better and follow his transformation over the years.
